This course is suitable for beginners and more advanced students. Basics for beginners will be incorporated into the lessons as well as opportunities for more advanced students to stretch themselves.

The first 4 weeks  will focus on the four seasons with an exploration of different colour palettes, techniques for creating special seasonal effects and using different subjects to convey a sense of the season.

In the last 4 weeks we will explore different ways of creating a series and how this can benefit our art.

Soft pastels lend themselves to all styles and subjects and are very forgiving for the beginner while offering enormous scope to the more advanced artist.

Come along and explore the joy of pastel painting!
